Alec Empire - Hypermodern Jazz Ref: GEISTCD011
Recorded in 1995 Alec Empire's jazz album and his most successful one of
the Mille Plateaux series. Space Jazz. Often gets compared to Sun Ra, Herbie
Hancock and Miles Davis when they started using synths, late 60's, early
70's The weird thing is that Alec at that point in his life had only heard Charlie Parker's 40's Bebop. If you are into CD2 of Intelligence & Sacrifice then you will like this a lot!!!

 | Alec Empire - Low On Ice Ref: GEISTCD010
It was 1995 Alec Empire was burnt out from touring and he did this album
in two days in Iceland.
Very low bass filtered beats, huge reverbs but still a claustrophobic
atmosphere, dub delays slow and deep.

CD with the classic Virus video of the title track!!!

Alec Empire - Generation Star Wars Ref: GEISTCD009
Most people say that this is Alec Empire's best album Hard industrial
rhythms (And when we say hard we mean it!) with beautiful and melancholic
string arrangements. This is intense. This can only come from Berlin! And
only out of one mind!!! The original vinyl version on Mille Plateaux
contained very controversial artwork an army of Star Wars storm troopers
with Swastikas on their foreheads, it showed Alec in a Luke Skywalker/Han
Solo type of way next to R2D2 and C3PO as the rebel, and a big statement
"Fight The Imperial Forces!" Only a few hundred copies went out, before it
got censored. (There is a German law that forbids the use of the Swastika
even if it is used in an anti-fascist context. Last time it was applied was
for The Residents Third Reich 'n' Roll album.) Now the music is available
again! Finally! Here on Geist! Buy this first!!!(and download the original
artwork from somewhere on the net!!!!!)

 | Alec Empire - Limited Editions 1990-94 Ref: GEISTCD008
Alec Empire's first album! It contains the track Suecide which was discovered about 3 years after its original release by a lot of house DJ's around the world (!? No bullshit) This album is a collection of his works
in the early 90's. Recorded in various places while Alec was playing raves with his pre-DHR techno material. Alec still quotes how influential the original Detroit Techno was to him. Of course this is miles away from Techno (like Berlin is from Detroit!) It has a very analogue feel to it and is the reason why those Force Inc guys decided to start Mille Plateaux (where it was
originally released). An album like spring it shows a different side of Alec. This is just cool!!! And very very good.

Like A Tim - Yeah Right Ref: GEISTCD003/LP003
After his famous EP series on Djax Up Beats, now his first album! Like A Tim
is a electro genius, a mastermind on the SP-12. He stands out because he
moved the genre on since years, while so many others just recently jumped on
the retro trend. Electric Boogie plus amazing cover art by Like A Tim (He
always draws his own images for his albums original stuff!). Gina D'Orio
(Cobra Killer/Ec8or) sings on the great cover version of ZZ Top's 'Legs'!!!
Vinyl is discounted as the sleeves are slightly damaged.
